She sits with an enigmatic expression, waiting, wondering, ….pondering. Makes you wonder what Marie’s thoughts were when she was creating this lovely; her fingers calling forth from the clay, then the extreme heat of the refining fire, knowing that at many moment it could all go wrong, and finally “Matilda” emerges. Beautiful, thoughtful Matilda.
