She sits with an enigmatic expression, waiting, wondering, ….pondering. Makes you wonder what Marie’s thoughts were when she was creating this lovely; her fingers calling forth from the clay, then the extreme heat of the refining fire, knowing that at many moment it could all go wrong, and finally “Matilda” emerges.
