Asher relayed the story of these paintings:

“I had a friend who posted on facebook the story of how through a set of circumstances he traveled from one city to another, one job to another, until he finally ended up in California.  There he met the love of his life, who became his wife.  At the end of his post, he said, ‘there is a glut of diamonds’.”

Asher interpreted this simple statement into these four paintings, with the deeper meaning that compared to the true value of the important people in your life, ” diamonds are cheap and plentiful”.  What is rare if finding true value in relationships.

The paintings are each 30″ x 40″ and are done in a reverse stencil technique.
